Bruce Heppner-Elgin - Cinematographer
Bruce Heppner-Elgin, a native Iowan, has been active in the film community for years. As Founder of Progressive Indirect Productions, an independent film production company, Bruce has written both feature-length and short screenplays. In addition to his written work, Bruce has also been active behind the camera. He has worked on numerous national television programs and commercials and has also been involved in the production of multiple local independent films. In addition, Bruce is the Co-Founder of the Iowa Digital Filmmaker’s Guild, Co-Director of LandLocked: The Iowa City International Film Festival (which premiers August, 2007), and an active member of the Iowa Motion Picture Association and the Iowa Screenwriter’s Alliance. Bruce Heppner-Elgin has a BA in English from The University of Iowa and is completing his MFA in Creative Writing from National University.
